I'm all right Professor, really. Ginny and I were only talking. Pansy just thought to avert a potential disaster, which in turn created one. She didn't mean it to blow up like that, she was only trying to protect me.

Thank you for the kind offer Professor, I'm sure I'll take you up on it soon. I don't know if they told you, but the Ministry should be delivering my memory potion next week.

Okay, I'm just concerned for your well being. As long as all three of you are alright, that's all that matters.

And no, no one has told me the news. Congratulations! I hope it's what you're looking for.

We're all fine. Thank you.

I hope so too. Though honestly? I'm a bit scared of what I'll discover. But I suppose it's what I asked for.

You've gone this far already. You cannot just stop here, right?

Of course it's not Filius. December has to at least start first.

Remind me when we get closer and you start decorating and I'll send Charlie to get the Christmas trees...

So does that mean I can act like a spoiled little child in two weeks?

[Private to Flora]
We should do something special this year for any students who will remain at the Castle, since I'd assume that most would want to go home and spend it with their families. Any ideas?

Only as long as you don't do it where any of the children can see you. No setting bad examples.

[private to Filius]
Agreed, we should. The dinner is going to seem so very empty I think you're right, probably not that many will be staying, so undoubtedly the dormitories are going to feel very empty. Maybe something about that?

I would think it would comfort the children to know that even we as adults can get excited and squeal for the holidays.

[Private to Flora]
Students like their privacy, so it's not that that we should be concerned about, I think. Maybe we need to plan activities to keep the remaining children entertained?

Unfortunately, no, Professor. Although I must say that I look forward to the holiday with anticipation.

Miss Clearwater! How good to hear from you again! How are you? Is the real world treating you alright?

I cannot wait for the holidays myself. A very very good old friend of mine will, Merlin-willing, be visiting for a couple of days. He hasn't been in Britain in years, I do not think.

Old friend? Excellent! Everyone needs a few of those...

I can't complain too much, I suppose. I'm enjoying my work in general. How are things schoolside?

School is school. The same complaints about too much work from the students, the same lack of sleep from the teachers who are so busy grading said work.

Not yet Professor, though I can assure you Weasley's Wizard Wheezes will be celebrating the holidays in fine style!

. . .

Just no more huge swamps, okay? That was a mess to clean up. ;-)

No swamps, of course not! We've got some holiday decorations and extra trick sweets and stuff, but nothing dangerous or messy.
