The chime's tinkle as the door opens forcefully. There's a young man pushing his way through the gap created, not quite big, not quite small, but just enough space for him to pass through with a bit of resistance. And even then Jin can still see the material of the man's beanie contracting and springing back into place as if cotton could regenerate itself. It takes him by surprise a moment later when the heavy thud of the book hits the counter and the man's eyes are boring into him
