Jin wakes up tangled in his sheets, his head pounding as someone throws open the door and barges into his room.

“Fuck, Jin,” Yamapi starts in a very irritated and very loud tone. “You are a stupid, stupid idiot. Fuck you to hell and back.”

“Good morning to you too,” Jin mumbles, his voice scratchy and hoarse as he shuts his eyes and presses his fingers to his forehead.

“Kamenashi is gone, you stupid fuck,” the other continues, without pause. “Kamenashi is gone, you hear me? His crew gone, his ship gone, his everything gone.”

“And,” Jin blinks, his brain still fogged with sleep, “why are you flipping out?”

Yamapi sighs and counts silently to ten, while Ryo lazily strolls into the room.

“Jin, you’re so, so fucked,” he says in greeting.

“Yeah, that’s the deal. I just collected my prize,” Jin snorts while rolling over.

“No, you idiot,” Yamapi interrupts. “Kamenashi is gone. Probably with the mapJin nods as he stretches languidly on the bed ( ... )

This was such great fun! Akame as pirate captains with a lot of tension and history between them - a fair chunk of it between the sheets, of course. I love that Kame took the prize in the end - do we get to see Jin going after him for the next round of their own personal (and scorching hot) game? ^_^

I'll live in hope, then! ^_^ I find it quite interesting as well. I've never played poker myself but I'm quite drawn to stories featuring it because I think games are an excellent way to build tension (and provide a good excuse for plenty of staring in the name of observation). Besides, there should be more pirate!Akame. KAT-TUN are so obviously obsessed with all things piratical that it's pretty much canon!
