Jin charged forward, batting away the hail of darts like they were flies, shaking off the ones that hit him just as easily. When the furriers realized that the guns weren't working, some of them pulled out tasers while others unsheathed knives, undoubtedly with high silver content. Koki couldn't shift if he didn't want to give his skin away, but he was still fast and strong enough to hold his own, especially with anger fueling him on. He leapt into the fray with a furious vengeance, dodging the silver and breaking bones with pure inhuman speed, and Kame spared a moment to be very glad that they were on the same side

Kame cocked the hammer, and the quiet click might as well have been a bomb going off.

"I've never used one of these before," he said. "But I'm sure I'll be able to hit something vital at point blank range."

The furrier eyed him warily but didn't lower his knife. "Sure you're that fast, sonny boy?"

Suddenly, the lights were gone, and the room was once again plunged in darkness. The blade disappeared from Kame's throat just as quickly.

"I think the question is, are you?" came a silky voice from just over Yakuza Man's shoulder before Kame found himself being whisked away, the swiped blade thunking into the wood where his head had been moments before, pinning a piece of Yakuza Man's sleeve with it

Early morning found the four of them sitting in a Western-style diner that was open for 24 hours. Koki was inhaling what looked like his own body weight in food while Maru nibbled away at his own hamburger and Kame stole his fries. Jin watched the three of them serenely, skin pale as porcelain, dark bags starting to form under his eyes
