Jin is looking at the present. Jin is here now, and the sky is bright. He is still wearing his sunglasses and he is always in disguise. He thinks maybe it's a leftover from the past, but Jin doesn't bother to remember anymore. He can't. Jin is already twenty-four, and he knows better. Kame is here, as is he is every year, but this time there is also the entire band and the entire crew of cameras, and Jin is far away from him now, further than he has ever been.

Jin touches his own arm gently, tracing the spots where he knows the bruises would have been if he was nearer. He closes his eyes, and he remembers, and then he goes back to work.

klasjklas it makes me want to sigh in one of those not happy but still satisfied kind of way because angsty is just so fitting and this was just so perfect.

I HAD TO KNOW HOW MANY ROLLERCOASTERS THERE ACTUALLY ARE IN JAPAN. AND WHERE. AND WHEN THEY WERE BUILT, SO I'D KNOW HOW MANY KAME WAS ACTUALLY GOING ON AND. AND. THERE WERE SOME OTHER THINGS. :/

went back to the timeline, for one, and had to finally actually write some of that down. good god that fic is going to be huge when I get around to it.

XD I spend too much time on lol_meme over on journalfen. That's one of their standards. Because sometimes you just need it to be both, at the same time! :D:
