This time, the installment has a bit more actual Akame...and some awkward (?) Kei-brand angst. “…So, what was your question, anyway?” The drowsiness Jin had been feeling from the lull of repeated motions dissolves with Kame’s sudden inquiry. “If you weren’t going to ask about the sex, I mean.”

Jin shifts under Kame’s grip, bristling with the onset of Change-a pair of translucent gray wings sprouts from his bare back, stretching out into the air of the hotel suite. The ministrations come to an abrupt halt. Jin isn’t surprised so much as he is apologetic.

“-Sorry. That wasn’t…that wasn’t my question, either~…!”

“I know.” It’s Kame’s hoarse intonation that worries him, because Jin knows he knows all too well. “It’s just…they’ve been coming out on their own lately, right?”

Jin bites the inside of his mouth, hard enough to draw blood. “-You’re right. You’re right, Kame…shit. Shit.”

It’s not that he really forgets about it, what the involuntary Change and the insomnia means. Jin just knows that there’s nothing they can do about it. Wallowing in self-pity doesn’t help (we tried that…last year) and, certainly, ( ... )
