They are finally back in their apartment - after Kame drills one of the Managers for the newest rumors and demands to try out the latest model which that bullet-fetishist, joke-of-a-hunter Matsumoto recommended. One of the juniors in the store checks his wound - it really isn’t anything serious but he can’t deter the kid, so Jin lets him clean and dress it quickly. When they leave the store with their purchase (and after Kame makes sure the Manager is aware of their most recent hunt - not that it matters much, because the main Office already knows of it from their signature purification paper which they left by the corpse, and word travels fast within the Agency), Jin feels like he can collapse on the spot, while Kame is positively glowing. No doubt he is planning their next gig in his head already; the rumors on the Okinawa case were rather promising ( ... )

It’s the same design as their purification paper bears: elegant but sharp, the shape somewhat resembling to a heart. Jin found it in an ancient exorcism book which he was translating at one time, and after going through the text and realizing what it really meant, he was hell-bent on convincing Kame to get the symbol tattooed onto their skin. He never gave him the complete meaning of the symbol (he babbled something about group spirit or unit-symbol or whatever), but Kame never really asked, and surprisingly agreed after some serious nagging from his side. Jin doubts he will ever give Kame the complete picture - he would either freak out and demand to switch partners or laugh at him which would hurt, or possibly both - but he doesn’t mind. He likes having this secret, it makes him feel a little clever for once ( ... )

I've been trying to comment to this in a coherent manner for the past fifteen minutes, and I still can't find anything to say. This was gorgeous and I really liked your Kame and Jin, so excited and lovely and his kind of secret design and sdjfhskf. JE as a demon hunting agency omg I love you. ♥
