It’s the same design as their purification paper bears: elegant but sharp, the shape somewhat resembling to a heart. Jin found it in an ancient exorcism book which he was translating at one time, and after going through the text and realizing what it really meant, he was hell-bent on convincing Kame to get the symbol tattooed onto their skin. He never gave him the complete meaning of the symbol (he babbled something about group spirit or unit-symbol or whatever), but Kame never really asked, and surprisingly agreed after some serious nagging from his side. Jin doubts he will ever give Kame the complete picture - he would either freak out and demand to switch partners or laugh at him which would hurt, or possibly both - but he doesn’t mind. He likes having this secret, it makes him feel a little clever for once
