Indian Carvings in Bellows Falls, VT. 6 July 2007

On 6 July 2007 I went down to Bellows Falls, VT. which is only a half hour from where I live. I took some photos of Indian Carvings that are down there and that I have known about all my life. I went down there in May to take photos of them, but the water was so high that they were covered. I was able to take photos of them now since the water was ( Read more... )

What strange carvings...they are almost child-like or cartoonish. Do they know who made them?

They are believed to have been created by the Abenaki Indians at least 300 years ago or more.

Some of the them almost look like aliens... How deep is the water? can you boat/ canoe?

Oh, I know. The water is pretty deep. You can boat or canoe on it. I never have, but I have seen people do it. I think I took a pic of people conoing in the river with one of my film cameras.
