Hi, I'm new here. well sort of I just followed a friend of a friend link and found your journal. Sorry about the visa troubles. I wish there was something I could do to help but it's tough getting around these days. course I don't need to tell you that. yup Syria is such a fascinating country, so steeped in history.

I'm in Washington DC, and have been working with the government here, influencing legislation as it go through the upper and lower houses. I think I met the Syrian ambassador a few times a couple of cocktail parties. (yeah it's a hard life)

Anyway I look forward to reading more of your posts, and hearing about your unwed sister. heh ;-)
