Oh, nifty! I was gonna say something like THIS IS FOR ALL MY CARNIES! But then I was, like, that's racist.

Carnies are a race, right?

Well, I was going to consider applying for carnie dual citizenship.

I'm making that up.

What an interesting fact! I much prefer this day to be the birthday of the maker of the ferris wheel, rather than boring old Valentines day! ;)

I love the way Ferris Wheels can be either lighthearted and beautiful or completely creepy.

i used to, but i hate those too haha

i just despise that weightless feeling roller coasters give, do ferris wheels do that?

naw, you don't really feel any g-force on a ferris wheel. i was just wondering if you didn't like coasters cause of the height.

i've only ridden a ferris wheel a couple of times, and it was either too short or i felt as if we got stuck... so. i get maybe not wanting to do it.

Ferris wheels scare me so bad. I think it is the rocking of the cars I was always worried I'd fall out.

Did you ever read Devil in the White City it talks about the invention of the Ferris wheel and what it was invented for. The cars were railway boxcars and I forget the exact height but it was huge and survived I don't think you can call a storm on Lake Michigan a hurricane but its equivalent with people stuck on the ride.

It was a very interesting read for lots of reasons that is just one.

No, I haven't read that, but thanks for the recommendation! I'll have to check it out!
