My aunt had her doctoral thesis defence yesterday. (Yay for aunt!!) There's tradition to go with these things, so in the evening there's a party, which requires formal dress. Because I do own a sewing machine and I kind of know what to do with it, I decided I can make my own dress. And what I mean by 'make my own' is to to buy a cheap dress from

Thank you!! I'm usually more of a knitter or crochet...er(?), and even with those I'm usually too embarrassed to post any pictures, like ever. But this was a lot of fun to make, and I'm sort of proud of it so I wanted to share. :D

Nope, no ravelry (tbh, I'm not even exactly sure what ravelry is, excpet that it's something to do with knitting and crocheting since that's pretty obvious). And... well, I 've never really taken any pictures of what I've done. It's always been small scale and for my own fun, and a lot of the time I end up with a lot of half finished stuff.
