Yeah, you're probably right...

We've decided not to bother and handle it ourselves instead. After much advice from google, we've cleaned it up pretty good and both agreed that we woke up this morning with less difficulty breathing. Ick...I just hate thinking about it...

Tell the landlord that your rent will me X amount less to cover the cost of what you spent to fix it :) He'll soon come and sort you out.
