Chapter 1: The Beginning of Lu Han's misery
“Hey Lu! Have you heard?” A co-worker had asked.
“About what?” He replied as he turned to face the owner of the voice.
“You’re being re-assigned to a new patient today!” The man was more excited than Lu Han.
“Oh.” Was his simple reply. “And I should be happy with that… why?”
“You lucky dude! He’s the son of a Korean billionaire!” He took Lu Han by the shoulder. “Do you know how much they’ll pay you just for taking care of the boy?”
Lu Han shrugged. In his mind, he couldn’t care less who he babysits as long as he gets paid. “My salary is already enough. If you want to exchange positions, just tell the chairman.” He smiled before turning around. He remembered that he still has a patient that needs to take his daily medication.
“Hmp. Way ahead of you! I already asked but it turns out the client specifically wants you.” The nurse half-shouted to him.
Everyone seems to, he thought to himself before entering the room on his right.
The moment he entered the room, he was surprised. Another nurse was already tucking his patient to bed and was preparing to leave the room. He found the sight to be so sudden that he didn’t notice the other figure in the room. “Chairman?!”
The old man gave Lu Han a soft smile. “I think you already know why I’m here.”
Lu Han nodded hesitantly.
And without anything else, the chairman went to the door and the pretty boy supposed that he needed to follow him. He couldn’t put his finger on it but he feels that something’s amiss.
Being assigned to new patients are pretty normal for a nurse yet there’s this feeling he can’t explain. Lu Han put his hand on his chest, believing he’s just nervous. He mentally slapped himself after he realized that he did have past experiences with all kinds of rich people. I’m sure this time wouldn’t be any different, he reassured.
They walked through the corridors consequently leading to the hospital’s annex. It was just recently finished and its particular function was to house those who are willing to pay for the extra privacy. The V.I.P.s to be exact.
When they reached inside the building, Lu Han couldn’t keep his mouth from gaping. Just by looking at the reception, it already had a different feel from the main building. It was entirely made from marble and there is decent amount of gold used as moldings. Various paintings hung on the wall as well as glass decorations. The ceiling was high and the enormous chandelier in the middle definitely stood out the most.
The chairman briefly chatted with the lady who Lu Han assumed is the head nurse. “How is Mr. Byun?”
“He’s in his room, sir. His father left a while ago through the helicopter. Also, everything has been arranged for Mr. Lu. His only job from now on is to care for the boy.” The head nurse bowed before gesturing to the two males to follow her.
Hmp. Rich bastards. I’m a nurse not a personal caregiver!
They then took the elevator to the 7th floor and headed to Room 701.
“Mr. Lu, here’s the information about the patient.” The lady nurse handed out a clip board to him. The 22-year-old nurse took it and examined it.
“Byun Baekhyun. 20 years old.” Lu Han read out aloud.
He flipped a page. “Asthma?”
“Yes, Mr. Byun had childhood asthma but it was only until recently that it was triggered again.” The lady nurse turned to reply to him. “His father stated that he rarely gets sick and has also been taking up Hapkido so he’s asthma attack was totally a shock to him.”
Lu Han took note of what the older nurse said. His expression changed to a sad one, “It must have been; seeing his healthy son become that way must have been scary.”
“Oh! Lu Han, I almost forgot. Mr. Byun has zero knowledge of Mandarin so always remember to speak in Korean.” The chairman ordered and Lu Han made sure to keep it in mind.
They stop in front of the designated room but as they opened the door, they were surprised to see it empty. The bed being in disarray and a still-hot cup of coffee on the table suggests that someone has been there. Lu Han mentally sighed. Oh please no, please don’t let my new assignment be a pain in the butt, he begged inside his mind.
The head nurse stumbled out of the room to check if they were in the right one. “Room 701.”
The room was pretty big so Lu Han guessed he could be in the restroom. But after opening it, nothing’s there.
“Maybe he’s on the rooftop. Mr. Lu, could you please check?” The chairman spoke and Lu Han nodded.
“I’ll take care of this, sir. I’ll escort him down.” He flashed his most dazzling smile. Even at the chairman’s age, he was still captivated by the younger male’s expression. “Then, I’ll leave it to you. I know our best nurse can handle this.” Lu Han was caught off-guard when the chairman cupped his face and he forced a laugh. Ew, this old geezer is still cheesy. Ugh.
Afterwards, he made his way to the rooftop and expected to find at least a living person but still no sign of it.
“Incoming!!!”
Lu Han quickly spun to the direction of the voice but only to be met with a large water balloon directly on his face. “And it’s a hit! Critical hit!” The voice sounded so annoying to his ears and he couldn’t stop himself from gritting his teeth.
“Finally! I’ve been waiting for almost an hour for someone to come.” The culprit went out of its hiding place at last. He was behind the water tank, holding more water balloons. “Mister! Come play with me!”
A vein popped on Lu Han’s forehead. Stay calm, stay calm. He reminded himself. “You must be Baekhyun.” He said with a smile.
“Think fast!” The smaller boy threw another one at Lu Han but his reflexes failed him and it landed on his chest. “Yes, I am!”
“Okay. By the way, I’m Lu- Wait! Put that down.” Lu Han pleaded as the younger boy reached for another balloon. His expression rapidly became dejected.
“I’ll be your nurse starting today. My name is Lu Han. Come on, let’s go back to your roo-- what are you doing?!” Baekhyun lay on the floor and was starting to doze off. This guy is being stubborn and Lu Han was considering the option of dragging him back. He knelt beside Baekhyun and nudged him slightly. “You’re gonna get sick if you continue sleeping there.”
Baekhyun didn’t reply. The only sound was his breathing. Lu Han became anxious and shook him harder. “I’m already sick…”
The tone of Baekhyun’s voice surprised Lu Han. It sounded so serious that it felt like it came from someone who just received news about a deadly disease. “But…”
“But…” Lu Han repeated.
Baekhyun rose from his position and stared deep into the older boy’s eyes. “Nobody can stop me from doing this.”
What?
Apparently, Lu Han’s reflexes failed him yet again as he was unable to prevent Baekhyun from putting a small rat inside his uniform. “Ack! What the--”
Baekhyun was laughing so much to the point of tears. He held his stomach as he rolled back and forth watching his nurse flail around.
That boy! That son of a-ugh! Can’t I push him off the building now?
“I’m going ahead of you, nurse Lu… what was it again?” Baekhyun pondered, slowly heading towards the door. “Lu… Ah! It’s Lu San! I didn’t know you were Japanese.” He gave off a laugh and went down the stairs.
“What?!” Lu Han exclaimed as the rat finally got out of his shirt. “Since when did I become Japanese? The dude’s crazy!”
Before going to Baekhyun’s room, Lu Han stopped by his locker for some spare uniform. It irritated him that he had to go back to the main building while drenched with water. Concerned co-workers wanted to attend to him but he simply refused and said that he can take care of it. Honestly speaking though, he didn’t think there would actually come a time where he would use his spare uniform. After changing in the empty room, he whispered to himself. “I have to be careful from now on. One wrong move and I might accidentally snap. My image is in jeopardy!”
With the thought lingering in his mind, he went back to the billionaire’s son’s room. As he approached his destination, he could hear the sound coming from the television along with Baekhyun’s laugh. He opened the door to find out that he was watching Spongebob Squarepants… in Chinese. He’s definitely got a screw loose. Lu Han concluded.
Baekhyun noticed the other’s presence and turned to face him. “Hey! I thought you’d never come back!” He quickly sat up from his bed. “You know what? I’ve thought about it a while ago and I think you’re not Japanese.”
Lu Han mentally rolled his eyes.
“And I’m sorry I got your name wrong.”
“It’s oka--”
“Right, Lu Tan?” Baekhyun proudly called out as he reached out for a handshake.
The older sighed. “You got it wro--”
“Correct! Yes, thank you.”
It’s Lu Han! How hard is it to pronounce Lu HAN?!, He screamed inside his head.
“I see you already changed your clothes. Aren’t you angry about it?” Baekhyun asked.
“Hm? About my clothes? No, not really.” Oh, you bet I’m angry! I’m furious!
“Really? Wow, you’re the first one to ever say that.” Baekhyun crossed his arms. “People always tend to get angry around me.”
He stood from the bed to grab a drink from the refrigerator at the corner of the room. “When I was a kid, everyone I knew always smiled in front of me. They would always obey me and try to get in my favor.”
“I realized soon enough that they were all just a bunch of pretenders.”
Lu Han grabbed a chair near the bed and sat on it. “And?”
Baekhyun smirked. “You’re also like them.”
Deep inside, Lu Han was taken aback that this kid was able to notice his façade but he tried his best not to show.
“I’ll reveal who you really are soon.”
Chapter 2: One Step Closer
“I’ll reveal who you really are soon.”
Those words kept on repeating in Lu Han’s head. Despite the fact that he almost exploded yesterday, he is still full of confidence that his other side will not be easily exposed. A petty threat from a little brat isn’t enough to break him apart. Besides what’s worse than water balloons and a small rat getting inside your clothes? Lu Han decided that all he had to was make sure that Baekhyun never leaves his room.
At the start of the day, Lu Han forgets that he is no longer working in the main building. He walked inside only to be reminded by a co-worker of his new assignment. He took this opportunity to empty his locker and transfer it to the new building.
“Lu! Don’t forget to stop by every now and then, okay?”
“I wouldn’t even dream of it!” Lu Han waved him goodbye and flashed his dazzling smile.
Getting used to the luxurious set-up of the hospital would take a while for Lu Han. Even back when he was newly-employed, it took him almost a month before getting accustomed to the main building. The annex was somehow on a different level; the place is like a five-star hotel to Lu Han.
He entered the facility but was called by the counterperson. He was given a cluster of white Rhododendrons. It is common occurrence to him to receive flowers but it’s his first time to see that kind.
“Who was it from?” Lu Han asked as he took the bundle.
“It was from the delivery man. He also left a letter.” The female replied, bringing out a small, white card.
Flowers for you. ♥
-Anonymous
“I really envy you, you know. You’re a guy yet you receive flowers like this.” The counterperson commented.
“I’m not really sure how to react.” Lu Han touched the back of his head as a form of embarrassment. That person surprisingly has this side of him, huh? This must be his way of saying sorry. I’ll have to treat him better later.
The counterperson informed him that he can take any locker he likes at the end of the hall on the first floor. And after organizing his belongings, he asked the lady in the counter to tend to the flower since he doesn’t have a vase. He thanked her and said that he’ll pick it up later after his shift.
Lu Han rode the elevator and merrily skipped to his patient’s room. He felt something sticky on the handle of the door so he immediately tried to yank his hand but to no avail. F-ck! False alarm! This kid is worth pushing down the cliff! Ugh!
“Lu Wan hyung!” Baekhyun was laughing as he emerged from another room. “Come here! I have something you MIGHT need!” Then, the boy waved a sort of tube back and forth which
LuHan assumed as something that can free his hand from the handle of the door. He decided to deal with this situation step by step.
“If it isn’t obvious by now, I’m kind of stuck. Can you come here instead?” he said while pointing to his glued left hand. Baekhyun grinned and Lu Han thought that whatever it is on that brat’s mind is certainly not good. Slowly, his patient took a step and paused every now and then.
There was also a point where Baekhyun was skipping casually as if playing hopscotch. By the time he was almost within reach, he suddenly stopped and put the tube on the ground.
“Go ahead.”
Lu Han could feel his veins popping. Right now, he’s not really in the mood for childish games like this. Since he felt that begging the boy wouldn’t help him in any way, he resorted to attempting to reach for tube on his own. He bent down and extended his right leg only to be teased further by the mastermind of this prank. Every time the nurse’s foot got near the tube, the latter would deliberately pull it gradually away from him. The worst part was that Baekhyun kept laughing in a very mocking way.
This irritated Lu Han more. He wanted to rip the boy’s head so badly if not for his slight disadvantage as of the moment. And since there’s barely anyone on the floor right now, this urge of his only grew stronger. He exhaled a rather forbearing breath, Just you wait until I get that tube.
Without anyone noticing, the sun continued to lower from the horizon and it was an amazing fact that two persons are still going on about each other. After Lu Han painstakingly obtained the key to his freedom, it gave him a headache to know that Baekhyun still had a lot more tricks in his sleeves. He had been tolerating his immature pranks for almost the whole day which included getting showered with powder, falling from broken chairs, being startled with a poorly drawn paper ghost in the closet, Baekhyun’s favorite; the water balloons and who-knows-how-many-more-there-were.
Through the course of the afternoon, Lu Han had managed to get revenge on the boy once by pinching his cheeks. The reason for it was because he admitted that no matter how agitated he was, he just couldn’t bring himself to choke the asthmatic boy. He might accidentally kill him.
They were now inside the room-Baekhyun fiddling with his smart phone and Lu Han cleaning up the prankster’s mess. This is so supposed to be the janitor’s job so why am I doing this again? Anymore of this and I’ll surely ask for re-assignment! Lu Han asked himself after collecting all the trash and went straight to bathroom for freshening up his appearance.
However, there is one thing that Lu Han couldn’t understand from everything that happened; why Baekhyun would ask if he was angry over and over again and even going as far as saying that Lu Han can expose all his doings to the Chairman. What exactly did it mean? Yesterday,
Baekhyun claimed that he would reveal Lu Han’s ‘real self’, so what does being angry contribute to that goal?
Lu Han was on his way back to Room 701 just in time to hear his patient talking to someone. He tiptoed near the opening of the door to peek-more specifically to eavesdrop at what’s happening.
“Dad… is in Hong Kong?” As he looked, Baekhyun was standing near the window with his back facing Lu Han. He could obviously tell the disappointment in the younger male’s voice along with the apparent slouching of his back.
“Huh?! Me? I don’t even care where he goes! That old fogy can do anything with his life! W-whatever!” The last word sounded forced and if Lu Han wasn’t mistaken, the boy was fighting back tears.
Old fogy? His father? What is this about?
“B-but hyung… Did Dad… really say that?” Lu Han saw him gulp and caught a glimpse of the boy’s water-filled eyes. There was no response after his inquiry. Baekhyun ended the call and threw his phone at an unknown place.
The unexpected turn of the figure in the room made Lu Han stumble back from his peeking position as he headed for the door. However, it was as if everything was invisible when
Baekhyun didn’t even acknowledge the older man’s presence. He was confused for a while by the quick progression of the situation but very soon after tailed behind the boy. His pursuit led him to the rooftop as he searched for a pale and petite male patient. A not-so-suppressed sobbing and sniffing was all that Lu Han needed to track his target.
Baekhyun was sitting behind the water tank, hands covering his eyes and futilely attempting to hold back his cries.
He pitied him. Sincerely, this time.
And he really hoped that this isn’t one of his tricks yet again.
He sat behind Baekhyun and gently placed his hands on the crying boy’s wrists. He tried to pull it from his face so they could talk directly but he stubbornly fought back.
“What?! Leave me alone!”
Lu Han let go of Baekhyun’s wrist and just when he thought that the nurse immediately gave up on him, he felt something warm wrapped around him.
“Did you know, hugs are known as the universal medicine?” Lu Han said in a comforting tone but he quickly noticed Baekhyun’s rejection of the touch. “So unless you explain what the hell happened down there, I’m gonna keep giving you this type of medicine!”
As if disgusted by the idea, the small boy instantly pushed the nurse away resulting in him showing his swollen eyes continuously producing tears. He looked so vulnerable and very much unlike the first impression of him.
“I’ll admit, okay, from the bottom of my heart, that I despise you and your terribly lame pranks but just so you know,” Lu Han placed his right hand on Baekhyun’s head. “Mine isn’t made of stone.”
“I’ll hear you out.”
The expression on Baekhyun’s face says he’s not really convinced and was about to say something when Lu Han shut it with his fingers.
“LA LA LA! I can’t hear you over the sound of your fail! You’ll tell me all about your little drama and you can’t do anything about it!”
Baekhyun pouted and glared at the nagging person in front of him.
“Stop that. Glaring won’t work on me, ‘cause I got the most scary glares.”
There was awkward silence.
And Baekhyun’s slight chuckle broke that silence.
“But you can’t even avoid my terribly lame pranks? How lame.” Baekhyun continuously chuckled. Lu Han was relieved, he was smiling now.
“That’s a different matter.” He went on and pinched his crimson nose. And for the first time, the two of them laughed together.
The both of them have opened up a little and they were finally having a conversation without any funny tricks or deception. One step closer, as one would put it.
“Now, spill the beans. What was it about your father?”
Chapter 3: Two Steps Back
As soon as Lu Han let go of those words, he regretted it. He could clearly see the disbelief on the younger boy’s face. Baekhyun turned his head and exhaled deeply.
“No.”
Just as he thought. This stubborn man won’t make it easy for him to suddenly narrate his seemingly dramatic life. Especially to a stranger who he hasn’t even known for a week.
“Why?”
Baekhyun eyed him like he was some sort of alien. “Why? Because you’re irrelevant and a naggy old woman.”
LuHan fumed internally at the comment but ignored it anyway. “Talking always makes things at least a little better, you know.”
“Yeah, I know.” He quickly replied. “But not with someone like you.”
This turn of events had Lu Han in shock. Even though he had only met the boy two days ago, the person in front of him right now is totally different. Stubborn, yes, but the way he talked suggested that he is more than just a prankster.
Baekhyun stood up and hesitantly went to the door. He looked like he was going to say something and went from being a moody teenage boy to a very cute lost puppy.
“What?”
“Don’t get the wrong idea, ok?” Baekhyun was fidgeting; he kept biting his lip and touching the back of his head. Lu Han is seeing another side of him again. “Just because I don’t want to tell you anything doesn’t mean I… I don’t… appreciate your, um… You’re really kind, ok? That or you’re just simply cursing me inside your mind. So--”
“What is it?!” Lu Han became impatient because of his dilly-dallying.
“Thank you, ok?!” And with that, Baekhyun bolted into the hospital. Lu Han let out a small laugh,
‘He’s a good kid.’
The next few days were a lot better, in Lu Han’s opinion. Baekhyun was staying in his room and he hasn’t done any pranks… yet, he thinks. After the phone incident, he was careful not to ask anything about it until Baekhyun decides to tell him himself.
Today was just like the other days; Lu Han making sure his patient is taking his medications as well as performing daily check-ups on his condition.
Something was bothering him for a while but he wasn’t sure if he should really ask. Baekhyun was scanning the channels from the TV and was complaining about it not having any channels he could understand. Even Dora the Explorer was dubbed in Chinese! “At least they kept the ‘Swiper no swiping’ part.”
Lu Han didn’t respond. He just observed the boy and his cute little tantrum. “I mean, what’s the point of dubbing it if they’re gonna put subtitles anyway? This country is weird…”
A short laugh broke out of Lu Han. He really couldn’t take it. “I’m sorry… Please, continue.”
The boy pouted and squinted his eyes at the laughing nurse. “You think I’m crazy, don’t you?” he asked using a squeaky voice which only made Lu Han laugh louder.
“Don’t you have more work to do?”
“Unfortunately, I don’t. You’re my only patient.” The older explained.
“And why are you my only nurse?” Baekhyun was still acting and it was cracking Lu Han up.
“Then why don’t you just ask your appa to add more nurses to attend to you?” He replied in between laughs.
And it him like lightning. He just mentioned a taboo word. His laughter halted and he slowly looked at Baekhyun. But instead of anger, the boy’s expression was just unreadable.
‘Change topic, change topic!’ Lu Han racked his brain for a new subject they could talk about and the first thing that came to his mind was a question he had been meaning to ask for a while now.
“Ah… I… Oh! About your asthma!” Lu Han exclaimed. “Right, I was wondering… You’re condition isn’t that bad so why did you get confined anyway?”
His question didn’t really help the situation at all. Baekhyun looked very troubled and ended up looking away from him and to the window. ‘What? What did I do?’
“Oh, that’s right. I just remembered that I need to… Um, I need to go…” Lu Han trailed off, failing to find an excuse. “I’ll be right back.” Because Lu Han was hurrying to get out of the room, he wasn’t able to catch the sad expression on the boy.
Lu Han decided to take a stroll back into the main building so he could forget about his little word slip.
“Lu, my man!” a familiar voice called when he arrived. “It’s been a while!”
He gave a slightly awkward smile to the person waving at him from the lobby. “Yixing, you’re overreacting. It’s been like what… a week?” His last few words came out as a whisper and Yixing couldn’t quiet catch it.
“Huh, what did you say?”
“Oh, nothing.” He plastered a smile on his face as his friend came closer to him.
Lu Han has known Yixing for over 5 years and to be honest, he had never considered him as his best friend. Though Yixing, of course, thinks otherwise. Since their college years, Lu Han noticed that Yixing got close to him only because of the benefits. He was the most intelligent in their batch and was pretty popular among the girls. It just so happened that Yixing needed someone to do his projects and someone to introduce him to girls.
The two of them even applied for the same hospital. Lu Han didn’t do anything about it and pretended to be the greatest friend ever to Yixing. ‘Save me from the drama…’ he always reminded himself.
It has been this way ever since.
Yixing playfully punched Lu Han’s left arm when he finally reached him. “So, we’re planning a dinner next week. Are you free?”
“I--”
“Oh good! Next week, 7pm. Don’t forget it!” Completely disregarding his friend’s response, Yixing patted Lu Han’s shoulder and merrily skipped back to his post.
“Yixing, wait!” ‘I didn’t even say anything!’
His ranting was disturbed when a pale-skinned red head man bumped into him. “Sorry.” Lu Han opted to reach for the stranger’s documents that were scattered on the floor but the man beat him to it as if saying, ‘hands off dude’. The man felt suspicious with his dark shades and trench coat but Lu Han couldn’t care less. If the man doesn’t want any help then so be it.
As he turned to leave, the man swiftly went in front of him. “Do you know where the restrooms are?”
“Ha?” The question was so sudden that Lu Han didn’t know what to reply. The man spoke Chinese but it didn’t seem he was from around here.
“Well,” he started. “Every floor has one general restroom and another one for the employees. Every room also has one… obviously, for the patient’s convenience.”
The man smiled. “Thank you very much.” Though still unsure of what just happened, Lu Han nodded his head and replied to his thanks.
“Oh I almost forgot!” The red-haired man stopped in his tracks and faced him again. “You’re Lu Han right?”
As if to check who he was, he bent his head and saw his ID. “Ah… yeah.”
“Please look after your patient, okay?”
“What…?” Lu Han didn’t understand the stranger’s words.
‘Ahhh! Whatever! I left that kid’s room so I could clear my mind but instead I had a Yixing problem and Mr. look-after-your-patient here!’ He ruffled his hair and went outside to the garden. Finally, a nice place for relaxation.
“You’re really like a Barbie doll, you know that.”
‘That voice!’ Lu Han scanned the garden for the owner of that voice when suddenly the figure was magically next to him. “What the-?!” He fell from the bench because of the shock. “How did you get there?!”
“Lying to your friend like that… Why don’t you just tell him that you don’t want to?” He extended his hand to Lu Han and helped him up.
“Yixing. You’re talking about Yixing?” He asked while dusting his clothes. “I think there’s no point in denying; You’ve seen through me. Are you some kind of mind-reader, Baekhyun?”
“No, it’s obvious just by looking at your face. It’s faint but to me it’s just so obvious.”
“Whatever.”
The two sat in silence and neither tried to looked at each other. Baekhyun’s words have gotten Lu Han thinking again. Was his façade really that see-through? This is definitely the first time that someone was able to look past his act. While wondering about Baekhyun’s strangeness, the little boy gave a long and loud sigh. The older man glanced at him.
“Aha! My nurse is a pretentious old man!” He exclaimed in a very uninterested voice. “I really hate people like that.”
“Sorry, you can’t do anything about that. I’ve been like this for-“
“It just makes me want to anger them sooooo much.” Baekhyun smirked at Lu Han and it sent chills down his spine.
He knew what was coming.
As Lu Han walked the lonely seventh floor of the annex-he didn’t even know that a hospital corridor could be this dreadful-he feared for the worst. He was 200 percent sure that Baekhyun has come up with new pranks.
By this time, Lu Han was positive that his patient dislikes liars and especially people who deceives others. He walked slowly towards Room 701 very much unwillingly. ‘Is it gonna be water balloons or what? I don’t want to find out.’
When he reached the door, a sticky note was posted on to it.
I’m glad I gave you those flowers.
Do you know what they mean?
Lu Han was unsure of what the note was talking about until he remembered the flowers he received a few days ago. His eyes widened at the thought that struck his mind.
‘Oh hell no… Don’t tell me those flowers are some kind of explosives?’ He panicked and immediately opened the door to question the meaning of those flowers. But clearly, that would have to wait…
‘It’s raining poppers for pete’s sake!’
It always bewilders Lu Han on how this kid manages to set-up his tricks and where he gets it from. Because of the poppers that were still falling from who-knows-where, he kept jumping up and down to avoid the tiny crackers. Eventually, it came to an end and Baekhyun’s head appeared behind the door.
“Had enough?” he asked; knowing very well that it would tip his nurse off.
Lu Han scrunched up his face in response. “I have a very long patience if you haven’t noticed.”
“Oh really?” Baekhyun replied in a mocking tone that Lu Han really dislikes. “I’m sorry; I hadn’t noticed it at all.”
Soon afterwards, Baekhyun brought out a set of matchsticks and the older doesn’t want to wait to find out what’s it for.
“Hyung, do you like fireworks?”
