Oh, dear. Well, since Martha seems to be the one comforting her fellow German girls, here she is, wandering by with a basket of flowers for braiding. "Hallo, Thea!" she greets.

Normally Thea would make Martha promise not to tell a soul, but enough of their friends had witnessed the sorry event for themselves; there was no point in keeping it a secret.
