WOW! I just watched the opening ceremonies of the 2008 Beijing Olympics, and that was....

EPIC!!!!!!!!!!The artistry and creativity of the Chinese blew me away. I've always found their rich culture to be fascinating, and it was great to see how they presented that and kept using "Harmony" as a part of their performance. Everything was beautiful;

*dreamy sigh* Swimming. They should just dedicate the whole 2 weeks to swimming. Men's swimming. Yes. I am shallow. :p I'm still gutted that there won't be any Thorpe/Hoogie love this year, though. I adored those two.

I only caught a bit of the opening ceremony but I totally cooed and awwed over that little boy. I might have teared up a little too.

I agree. Men's swimming should just be played all the time. I'm sooo excited to be watching the final men's individual medley tonight and will probably be screaming my head off for Phelps. Yummy eye candy. =)

Yeah, that boy is so cute, and the ceremony was just very touching. I can't imagine what it would've been like sitting in the Bird's Nest and watching it all unfold.
