Johnny's Entertainment & Kpop Fandom = In Comparison.

Aug 30, 2010 13:20

As I finished watching a bunch of Kpop goodness all night until the sun rises up.. I opened my JE folder out of randomness and watched my KAT-TUN & Kanjani8 files. Files that used to fill up 90% of my HD which has now been replaced by Super Junior files instead ( Read more... )

je: kanjani8, je: kat-tun, je: general, kpop: general, kpop: u-kiss, kpop: super junior

First off, YES. I believe Kanjani8 is one of the most underrated groups in Johnny's & Yasuda Shota is one of the most underrated PERONS in Johnny's as well. I absolutely LOVE Kanjani 8. :D ( ... )

Sorry...my original comment was too long so here's the rest:

Ugh sorry...I get really passionate over this because even though I am a HUGE Kpop fan, Johnny's & J-music in general will always have a bias since I have been a fan of that longer. And I get SO UPSET when Kpop fans like to put down these boys because "they are just pretty boys." UGH. They don't understand the natural talent a lot of these boys have because they don't seem to have to work as hard as Kpop artist do to make it to the top. THEY DO. THEY JUST DON'T SEE IT & ITS NOT THE SAME TRAINING. ^^; I have more points & stuff that I would love to say but this comment is already too long & it sounds like I'm bashing Kpop. :/ That's not my intention so I'm sorry if that happened. Like I said, I LOVE Kpop but I will always be a Johnny's fan as well so yeah. ^^;

SORRY FOR MY LONG COMMENT. ^^;

Don't worry, I agree with what you said. Some Kpop-fans will never really understand it 'cause it's either they've been too biased in Kpop to be able to think rationally, or it's plainly because they don't know anything about JE. We actually have the upper-hand in this since we've seen both fandoms, so we know what's the truth thus we do not say ugly words like that. They can say anything they want but the fact that they've been doing nothing but assuming isn't really gonna help them with anything.

No worries, thank you for sharing your insights! :D I actually think I'm gonna be misinterpreted with what I wrote but putting down JE is something I would never do. This had been my life for 3/4 years afterall. :)

Thank you for commenting! No problem about long comments, I love long comments! :D Oh yeah, about Johnny-DBSK affair, sorry if I just jumped into conclusion, I just head some rumors before about Johnny having ties with Music Station on not to let DBSK perform there or something so yeah. Sorry about that. :)

I have nothing againts J-Web though, 'cause even if we can't personally see it like Twitter, fellow fans are kind enough to share what the boys think. :)

I've read something about JE refusing the Japan Disc Something award to prevent competition between the groups. That's probably the reason why they just have one fanclub, no competitions, no fanclub wars, no drama like the Kpop fandom. It's a one big JE happy family. <3 ( ... )

You know, Japanese artist didn't care about outsiders bcoz they are successfully in Japan only~ They not need anything from outside~ Doing International tour is like a dream come true for us from outside Japan. (Even our country will not be part of the tour)

I'm a KAT-TUN fan & KAT-TUN is my 1st love & I never wanna let them go. XDDD
I'm sad too bcoz Jin is no longer in KAT-TUN (I shed tears although Jin is not my ichiban) Just hoping that one day Jin will return to KAT-TUN.

Thank you for your sharing~ I really enjoy reading~

You posted this at an interesting time for me.

I'm currently in the process of introducing the wonderful world of Kanjani8 to my roommate, a hardcore Super Junior/all things K-Pop fan. I'll probably let make her read this later :D

This post was awesome, but one thing I wanted to say was about JE concerts being next to impossible to attend, even if you make it to Japan. Sure, the tickets are only available to fan club members, and yeah the scalpers are always around outside the venue, but I've been to three Johnny's concerts without joining the fan club and without buying from a scalper, so don't give up hope! There are other ways to see Johnny's live. You just have to know where to look :)

Third, when Kpop idols are often debuted flawless, Jpop idols grow up alongside us. Sneaky old man Johnny is a genius, he let us watched his boys grow up, from when they were still buck-toothed naive kid who was jumping around among gazillion of their friends until they debuted and has their own tv shows and held a concert in Tokyo dome, therefore, I believe, creating a tighter bond between fans and their idols. We would feel more happy when they were successful because we watched them when they were still nothing and how they climbed the steps one by one. I think it's a totally different approach from how kpop idols are marketed ( ... )

This SFM. I can still remember those awkward boys, dorking around and having so much fun.
