So the power was out, and at about...2 am I got really bored and wrote
LIMERICKS
There once was a man from Poughkeepsie
Who often would get slightly tipsy.
One night he had too much to drink,
And on his way to the sink
Over his dog he did tripsy.
There once was a girl named Shamu
Who liked to eat cardboard and glue.
Soon she turned into a box
And was used to hold socks
And sometimes even a shoe.
There once was a boy named Greg.
He had a beak like a bird and short legs.
One day he took flight
And soared out of sight.
Then he landed and plopped out an egg.
There once was a woman named Linda
Who lived her whole life in a blenda'.
The button was pressed by her nieces
And she was ground into pieces
And served up with milk, cream, and Splenda.
There once was a man named Bob
Who had just had too much of his job.
He ran into the street;
With a car he did meet-
And was turned into one oily blob.
There once were two boys-Ben and Dale-
Who lived their whole lives in a pail.
They had one major bane.
(The problem was rain.)
They couldn't swim, so they learned how to sail.
There once was a girl named Cindy
Who had problems when it became windy.
You see, she was thin
(She was made out of tin.)
And would become all torn-up and bendy.
