Character Information

↔ GENERAL
Canon Source: Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories.
Canon Format: Video game.
Character's Name: Lexaeus. Aeleus.
Character's Age: Appears around mid twenties, but body is, in actuality, only about ten.

What form will your character's NV take? A seemingly average notebook, black in cover and thin, lined paper inside, the middle page is a screen and keyboard, fitted with a small video camera and all the options the NV needs.

↔ Abilities
Character's Canon Abilities: One could always say his nearly pure brute strength is a major asset - and it is - but he does have a few tricks up his sleeve most other weight-lifters can't pull off. One of these tricks would be the fact he can levitate. Which is pretty neat, considering that his other specialties have to do with the Earth: if he hits the ground with enough force, a shock-wave will reverberate around the combat zone; rocks will tilt and the soil itself will maligned, as if in a fault zone; and, finally, the ability to summon up rock pillars that can follow a target around the field. There's a keen fluency in teleportation via Darkness and the general use thereof, but not as much as others.

He has a kind of hard, defensive skin, too, but that might just all be muscle.
Weapons: A giant axe sword by the name of Skysplitter, most of Lexaeus's more magical powers comes from wielding this weapon (though it remains to be seen that he could maybe do it without it), such as the fact, when crashed into the ground, rocks will spike up around it. It apparently ways tons, but he can use it with ease, even throwing it in a way to make it come spiraling back to him.

↔ Etc.
Character History: One for two.

Point in Canon: Post-death.

Character Personality: The best thing about Lexaeus is the fact that he's a scientist. Not quite a mad scientist, though he gets close very often (he just doesn't have the cackle down to do it completely correct), but a true-blooded observer. He'll watch, in silence or, more rarely, otherwise, and take notes. He'll predict and understand and flesh out his opinions based on these things, making him a rather perceptive, if horribly quiet, guy, who only speaks when necessary or when spoken to. He isn't rude; he won't cut out of a sentence or give one-liners, but he doesn't find any reason to make small talk or comment on pointless things that are quite obvious.

The second best thing about him is that he's a Nobody.

Literally. Without a heart, he doesn't form attachment in quiet the same way as everyone else, having no true emotional bonds to anything at all- but what he lacks in that area, he makes up in intelligence, building loyalty and trust on observations and thought. Out of all of the Nobodies, he might just be the most loyal; if he finds a person trustworthy (which is actually fairly difficult), he'll stick by their side through thick and thin, unwavering as a trained military dog. At least that's what it seems like with Zexion, whom he's willing to sacrifice his life and existence for, whom he sides with even as he acts as a mediator.

And that's the other thing: aside from being a rather polite, slightly caring fellow ("caring" in the sense that he doesn't show so obviously that he wants to end your life), he dislikes spats and arguments that have no meaning, takes a measure of tranquility out of smoothing those things over. He won't complain over getting unfair treatment, such as having far more chores than the other housemate, because of this.

On the other hand, when he does become impassioned (though that term should be used loosely), he uses reason and logic to make an argument, always making sure to stand by his principles as sure as a boulder against the tide. He doesn't hesitate on using underhanded tricks or taking the 'ill moral road,' but unlike a manipulator, he won't go out of his way to build relations or give a good impression. He is what he is, and he's unafraid to show that - just as he's unafraid to remain silent when pressed for things he doesn't agree with, or to keep a peaceful, productive atmosphere for what he wishes to work on. He has a fair amount of determination to back up his loyalty, but then, anyone who regrets only failing another upon death would.

Now, he isn't a dense man in the last, but he does tend to take the easier solutions to problems than the complicated, complex ones. For instance, when teaching Roxas how to use his limit break while under stress, the Nobody simply walloped the boy until he was low in health, rather than instructing in detail verbally. This might make him out as a sort of brute, but it's truly just a need for efficiency: if there is a goal in mind, he would like to complete it, not stand about and talk about completing it. Being practical is very important, after all.

Character Plans: Unfortunately, Lexaeus will, first and foremost, side with whatever Zexion decides. He's rather uncaring when it comes to dirty-handed tricks, so either side that offers the best will be given the most consideration. However, he both understands the ups of being on everyone's good side (or at least not on their bad side) and has enough of a not-heart to not feel the need to seek out and destroy.

Appearance/PB: Red Rover, red Rover.

↔ Writing Samples
First Person Sample [why, hello, world: the feed comes through clear and sharp, picking up the slightest rustling of fabric and dirt, with a long, long pause of simply leaving the audio on, as if the user is either thinking over what to say or unsure.]

[probably the former, since his words are stark when he speaks.]

Not a very good city at all. Which way to civilization? [further silence. either on behalf of being helpful to his would-be savors, or simply to say something (again, it seems like the former):] A route from the baseball diamond, please.

Third Person Sample

One twist got a rattle; two twists had a groan; three twists and a tiny trickle finally emerged. Five twists later, and a decent amount would flow forth, a steady, if weak, stream.

He frowned at all of them.

Not only did he frown, but he crossed his arms, tilted his head, tapped at the side of the pipe, peeked into the cabinets, just to see if water was leaking there (it wasn't)-- at one point, he even leaned on the counter, craned his neck to see as far behind the nozzle as he could. No matter where he looked, how he looked, or what he looked for, nothing seemed terribly out of place - and it all still took five twists of the handle to make a steady stream come out.

Around fifteen minutes of this had Lexaeus sighing, not quite annoyed but not overly happy, either. He was armed with a somewhat rusty screw driver and wrench, tapped those things against the pipes absently while he investigated, thought it all over. Pressure in the main container had to be too low - or perhaps it was the pipes leading up this sink, too many twists and turns and simply taking too long - or perhaps it was the sink itself, a loose bolt or two somewhere that didn't obviously leak.

Perhaps, he thought in one moment of a combination of boredom and mental hands-throwing-up, they were just mocking them.

But that was an irrational thought, and he crouched down again, tightened a screw in the pipe in the cabinet once more. Four and a half turns later, and water was flowing freely.

He smiled slightly at that. An improvement. Good.

But these tools would obviously not do the entire trick, and something like a sinking, predictable feeling ran through him-- he would need something more. Or a proper mechanic. Or risk taking apart the entire thing and seeing if it was the sink that was wrong...

... If only the one who wanted this done hadn't put a deadline on when he wanted it completed (which was approaching in about three quarters of an hour), something more steady could have been the option. As it was, the Nobody hesitated only a minute, before beginning to unwind every single bolt in the sink's piping, frowning once more.

If the kitchen was flooded in three quarters of an hour, he knew he'd be mopping it up. But at least he could say it wasn't completely his fault.
