All my best friends either have an exact plan for after graduation or they have already been given a job! For a long time I felt like I would just end up wandering around looking for some direction but I feel great now because I've finally found it. I would really like to work for The Redlands Daily Facts next year so I"m going to try and get some sort of position there *fingers crossed* so that I won't be stuck working a minimum wage customer service job next year. I really hope that having a degree will help me out in that department.

Andrea Feathers got a job there and had a Creative Writing degree from U of R. She's been writing tons of articles for them the last couple of years.
I've grown up in this town, and I used to write articles for the Facts- they call it the Redlands Daily Fact because the paper's so tiny, and my brother's friend worked there, too.
I really don't think you'd have a problem getting a job there. Do you know how much they pay? Probably not a whole lot, but it would be a great starting place.
Ooh. I know someone who needs writers. The Redlands Reader. Chris Theodore. Either Lua or I can get you his email. You could work free-lance. The pay isn't bad.
