TS2 to TS3 - Pleasants & Burbs

Long Time No See!

I have been in SUCH a rut for months now -sigh, but I did get inspired to do something in TS3 yesterday! I suddenly got in the mood for TS2 families -not TS2 (ick cannot go back to THAT gameplay!) but for the characters I always loved in it.

So I decided to remake them & their homes!

My first project?
The Pleasant Family!

These were my all-time favorite Sims 2 families. I also liked Lilith, and also royally ruined nasty-nice Angela's life. I had Dustin booted out of college, after he got Angela knocked up, then had him dump her for some guy he met. Poor Angela went into an eating frenzy and packed on the pounds. Ended up living in a dump that even Brandi wouldn't have been caught dead in. Lilith ended up marrying that Chester Gieke dude (who looked pretty good after a make-over) who was loaded with simoleons and a master spy. John and Jennifer's marriage hit the skids, and he got himself a mistress. Invited her over one Christmas Eve and made out with her in front of Jen. Then, while Jen and the mistress were arguing in front of the bathroom door, he wet himself, then went outside to hug that reindeer yard ornament. Ended up frying himself and setting the yard on fire. Jen laughed, the mistress boo-hooed. Good times!
BTW, would you mind telling me what hair you used for Mary-Ellen? I figured out the rest. Thanks!

But um... the hair on Mary-Sue is HERE! It's one of my fav hairstyles at the moment & I struggle not to put in on every single sim I have, lulz!

Wow, I love this! This is ironic, I went and spent all my money on re-buying the sims 2 and it's expansions. One of the reasons was the familes which I fell in love with (the sims 3 never had any spark to the characters). That and I missed not having absolutely shitty expansions. The Pleasants were one of my favorites, but I think I've played all the Pleasantview families at least twice.

I so agree, that spark was definitely missing in TS3 with the townies. I think since they had so many they really couldn't capture our attention like TS2 did. LOL @ buying all the TS2 bundle, I actually -for lulz- just downloaded the entire TS1 collection & have been goofing off in there today. Gosh, the objects were so unique & awesome in that game, not the mention the EPs -totally miss it more than ts2! Now if only they would shove all the goodness into the gameplay of TS3 I would be in sim heaven!

Omg Thank you thank you soo much for the sliders folder!!! Your Sims are always soooo beautiful and I wanted to be able to make Sims like that! Hopefully this range of sliders will help lol :P
BTW you did a very good job on these Sims, and that house! It's exactly how I remember it! You are so talented.

No problem! I am always passing out my slider folder to friends b/c they are all such lazy dogs -lol jkjk... meebee...

Just don't forget to have a mod that allows for the extra sliders!
(awesomemod is the best one!)

Yeah, I've gotta find one. I can't use Awesome Mod b/c contrary to popular belief it is not so awesome..... every time I try to install it it breaks my game and I have to do a total uninstall reinstall. I've done this several times, each time CAREFULLY reading all the instructions and doing everything right, it works the first time but once I quit the game it'll never turn on again :( Every time.
Makes me sad really.
