DYA 2016
And once again it's yuletide time and I haven't done anything else fannish all year, which shouldn't be a surprise to anyone who is looking at this page. Here's my DYA letter for this year:

I'm generally speaking much more into the happier or more humorous end of the scale than angst or darkness. As I've said in prior letters, basically, no darker than the tone of the source and with the sense of humor of the source is probably a good guideline for what would make me happiest. No central character death or rape, please. Otherwise, I'm really quite flexible. My requests this year are all non-relationship-specific, but I also read both het and slash of varying levels of explicitness quite happily.
If you're looking through my fic to see what I like, I've done Yuletide every year, so there are 13(!!!) YT's worth of stories by me in the AO3 archive. Everything else of mine that's linked here in LJ is ancient, really, and probably terrible, and I haven't updated my personal site in years. But what's in the YT archives should give you a decent sampling of my taste. Really, I'd be thrilled to see a story in any of these fandoms, so whichever one you write is fine by me. Have some fun with it, and I'm sure I'll be delighted.
Specifics:
I requested (in alphabetical order) The Company, Twin Peaks, and Wynonna Earp.
The Company (Kage Baker): This series holds a special place in my heart, and I am still heartbroken about Ms. Baker's untimely death. I always loved Latif, the young rebel, and Joseph, the aging trickster, most of all, so that's who I put in my signup, but that definitely shouldn't imply a / between them because, well, no. Definitely not. I was never as big of a fan of the whole Alec/Edward/Nicholas/Mendoza plot line, but that's like a least favorite flavor of ice cream level of not as big a fan - it's still ice cream, either way - so feel free to include as few or as many characters as you like, set something in the distant past or recent history, whatever works for you.
Twin Peaks: I am still ridiculously excited about this show's return, but also very sad about some of the characters who won't be there for one reason or another, particularly my beloved Sheriff Truman, who I put in my request, and the Log Lady, who in retrospect I probably should have (but I was signing up in a rush and didn't think of it). 'Ship-wise, I'm fine with canon, or with Harry/Coop or Harry/Albert, or romance-free gen, whatever works for you. Feel free to include as many characters as you like. I will of course be devouring the Mark Frost book the moment it comes out next week to find out what they think happened in the intervening 25 years, but don't feel like you have to adhere to it, or even go post-canon if something else floats your boat.
Wynonna Earp: I only recently discovered the show and blew through it in about a week (which given my non-fannish commitments is pretty fast for me). I have the comics but haven't read them yet. I put Wynonna and Doc in the signup, but it doesn't have to be a relationship story. It can be, if you want, it just doesn't have to be. I am kind of intrigued by the idea of examining further Doc's relationship with Wyatt as compared to Wynonna. Mostly I am just impatient to see more with these characters in this world - so any story you have to tell with as many of them as you like will be fine by me.
