The Pope

I am not going to try and write a memorial to John Paul II. Nothing I could write would do justice to a man who touched the lives of us all. Instead I will turn my attention to the election of the next pope. I've been thinking a lot about it, and in conclusion, i have no idea. I could not agree with you more man. It is most likely he'll be italian and he will not name himself john Paul. So much critisim has come over the catholic church recently they'll look to seem like they're getting a fresh start, something new. If he named himself John Paul it would give a message of more of the same, which I don't think they'll do. There's no way he'll be named pious because of WWII, or alexander, though I forget why, some pope alexander sucked, I think his son was a crazy killer or something. I think if the pope had to pick a recent name that would be well liked it could be Benedict, pope during WWI, he stayed impartial and he was well liked by most, seems like the safest bet. It would be interesting however if he went and chose a name of an old school pope, like hundreds of years ago.
