Are the times changing? Certainly to some degree. i've had a series of conversations with a series of different people. I hate John Kerry. I hate being a democrat right now. Not for the reasons you think. We've ceased to be the Party of FDR and JFK and become the party of Walter Mondale and Dukais. There's nothing wrong with being correct. ( Read more... )

You're absolutely right, right now the republicans own the country and there needs to be some great change for that fact to change. All the evidence was in the last election. I mean for a president to fuck up as bad as bush did OVERALL, and still win the election? I mean come on. How much does that show how weak the democratic party currently is? Not to mention we have to fish now for our next representative, the republicans have them fucking lined up. Guliani? no? ok, McCain, no? ok Arnold. Right now, we have no one that could confidently beat any of them. The "stars" right now, Hilary Clinton is a girl, and like it or not that crushes her chances. There will be PLENTY of people, millions who will not vote for her because of that. It's wrong, but it's true. Then there's Obama, he's black, bye bye the ENTIRE SOUTH. Not to mention a lot of people in the north who wouldn't vote for a black man, again, wrong, but true. (Also, I hate to say it, but electing a black man may be just as good as signing his death warrant.) I think and HOPE in ( ... )
