S/E snippet too? Lovely! I look forward to reading that once it's up. And I'm sending lots of calm, soothing, creative thoughts in your direction for TGQ2.
Um… Thank you for the thoughts, but may I transfer them to another story? TGQ2 has taken a major sabbatical… *sigh* I enjoyed reading FBG and I'm honoured that TGQ could so inspire you - thank you! I really thought FBG might help reanimate Pern for me, but it simply hasn't stirred in ages. Maybe because right now I am completely taken over by another, even longer AU (think Georgette Heyer meets Eroica this time) which may even arrive on a screen near you in the New Year - so if you feel you can face yet more S/E… ;-) *huggles*
Thank you - hope there were lots of goodies among all those wrappings! PS: There should also have been an S/E at the other place - am hoping to post it soon
Oh T, I still love it! It looks like you only changed a bit of Sam's mental thought during the tumblers. You may think that you're just describing things that they saw and did during the day, but it's so vivid that I felt I was at the Little Show with them. Thanks for putting in the pic of Storm too--it really enhances the imagery in this chapter. I do love this story, and I feel so fortunate to be one of the recipients of your F/S bounty. *grabs Frodo, Sam & T for mass hobbit hugs* (Now I'm off to see what's new with HoC!)
*blush* Thank you, Hildi! I always worry about lists reading like the lists they really are - it's so reassuring to know they don't. (And I included the Storm pic just for you!)
Thank you for the lovely pics you sent. I bet that was a wonderful day in the woods… Unfortunately, I wrapped up a little something for you (well, two little somethings, actually, but in one, as they should be) and forgot to put in a card - or even a message of any kind - until too late. Which it/they will be. Late, that is. But I hope you will forgive and know that I was thinking of you even in my usual dilatory and/or invisible way. *huggles*
There should be two more chapters of HoC open at last: Sir A, and then the OC explanation of how it came about that PP slipped through shadow like shadow… (And I may even get around to posting M101, one of these days!)
T! *glomps you* It wound up being a very looong hike (about 9 1/2 miles), but well worth it to have the chance to meet my two favorite hobbits! I got home late yesterday and found your package. I still have one or two friends that I haven't met up with yet to exchange gifts, so yours wasn't late at all, and it just extended the Christmas season a bit for me. I can't begin to tell you how much I love it! I've never seen just the two of them standing together (closely together) before--it reminds me of the statue in Minas Tirith that Elenya described in ATIH. I have my single figures posed that way (and sometimes even closer), but this is the first time I've seen the manufacturer do it. The artist must be a slasher at heart! I posted a thank you on my journal before I saw your comment email, so everyone will know what a sweet person you are

I first stumbled across this quite awhile ago and you were all ready well into it. I didn't have time to read it all then so I put it on hold. I finally got a chance to sit down and read this (needless to say several more chapters had been added in the meantime), and I can't tell you just how much I love this.
Your descriptions of the Fair are so well done I feel like I am really there. And Sam's love and yearning for Frodo...well, it is beautiful.
I also love how you have shown the relationship between Frodo and Bilbo; how they care for each other and are comfortable enough to play their little pranks on each other. I loved Frodo's revenge!
I know you are working on another lovely story, which I am eagerly waiting for the weekend to see updated, but I hope you also plan to finish this. It is delightful.
I'm really pleased you're enjoying GAFFS - and it's so nice to have a new reader for it. It's been a lot of fun to write (mostly!) but I have neglected Frodo and Sam shamefully since TGQ took over my life, and now HoC demands to be posted at long last. They were my first love, though, and this is the story nearest my heart. I lost several full chapters, and it's taking forever to get them back - the last two and the next, which was always the sketchiest one anyway - typical. The lovescene comes in two parts (so do F/S…) and I do still have that - though it was written such a long time ago that I know I can do it better now, even if that makes it take even longer. GAFFS will be finished one day but I can't even promise myself when that day may be - when Sean/Elijah plot bunnies stop biting my ankles, I suspect! ;-) I hope your patience lasts that long! Thank you again for such a lovely comment! *huggles*
(Sorry this is so late - I get tied up with swapping different identities and these days I
