I love the imagery here, the words you've chosen that define so clearly the early life and current imprisonment of the dragon. From the opening line it grabs and doesn't let go. Beautiful.

Thanks! The dragon's a fascianting character, I think, who definitely has his own agenda. I love the idea that he was once free and happy, before he was trapped and chained and made into a symbol by Uther.
