I have many paintings in my house with intricate designs. Their complexity never ceases to entertain me as long as I don't look at them from the side and see their true nature: flat

That pleasure is just a transient product of the point, or summation, or truth, or whatever. It is sad but true that I need more than that to pull me away from the distraction of complexity.
