Ask a silly question...

My step-father was in an accident this afternoon on his motorcycle.  I don't know the specifics, but he had a choice between hitting the pickup that caused the accident, or going for the ditch.  The ditch won, of course.  He went over the handlebars, and he wasn't wearing a helmet.  The bike is totaled, and the guy in the pickup just drove off.
