So, I'm overtaken by a momentary burst of madness, wherein I have a great desire to learn to spin, weave, and dye fabric so that I can have the most handmadest apron dress ever. (Weaving is something I've actually got prior experience with, it's annoying to set up a loom but it's not hard.) Anyway, I'm basically wondering how much trouble it would ( Read more... )

FWIW, there are some 32" rigid heddle looms. I was looking at one just the other day. Kromsky's the maker, I believe, and the model is the Harp.

Yeah, I was just looking a bit further and found a 24" one, which is perfect given that the archaeology suggests a 24-26" width for fabric. And it's not even that expensive, which is good. So I might go with that one.
