Looks like I'm having surgery Thursday to realign the bone fragment and then screw it into place. I'm trying to look at it as writing research, but that isn't really working. I just wanted a nice simple cast. Doctor said no. Stupid cows. Maybe I could send them to the Genii.

I figure for Thanksgiving next week I'll be thankful this week is

Good luck with the surgery. I know this wasn't what you wanted but hopefully your arm will heal up quickly afterward. I think Thanksgiving is yours to just relax and let your family wait on you hand and foot (that's good writing research too!)

Ooh, I'm sorry! I hope the surgery goes okay for you. If it's any consolation, I have pins in my leg and you don't need a cast afterwards (at least I didn't). It still needs time to heal up before you can use it fully, but there's less hassle with washing and doing everyday things than if you have to deal with a cast in the way of everything.
