I am pin-free and proud of it. And it really wasn't bad. All that worry for nothing - and I couldn't be happier. The first one slid out so quick and easy it just felt a little weird. I never realized the pain and stiffness hung around so long. I guess I figured when the break healed, most of the pain went away. Wake up call. But I can deal now that things are finally starting to improve. The doc wants me to be able to make a fist when I go back in 4 weeks, so I have my work cut out for me.
Oh, and the pins look really huge coming out of your arm!!
