Late Happy New Year!

Yeah, I know - late, as usual. There goes one resolution (LOL). On the plus side, I did manage to get my winter fic exchange story posted on time. Barely, but I made it. I didn't actually procrastinate like I usually do. I had the whole thing outlined and part of it written, but I was planning on doing the lion's share of the writing over ( Read more... )

Happy New Year to you hon. I hope you have fun on the cruise and am sending good vibes for your getting in shape so you have a fantastic time with the ruins. It should be a lot of fun. Just keep in mind that cruises are food, food, food all over the boat at all hours.

Yeah, when reading about the cruise we figured out the whole food everywhere at all times of the day and night thing. I told her we needed to lose a ton before the cruise because we'd probably be adding a lot of it back on. So much food to try and days in which to do it. I'll just need to work extra hard at climbing ruins and shopping on our two stops. Have I mentioned how crazy excited I am!!

Thanks for the good vibes for getting into shape. I need all the help I can get. I think I missed out on the willpower gene entirely!

I think most of us missed out on that gene. LOL

I remember when I went on a cruise that me and my mom went to the midnight buffet because they had a great selection of fresh fruit. It was great. We did stay away from the other stuff because the fruit was enough but they did try to stuff you with other stuff.

You will love it. Cruising is brilliant. I'm working on the green smoothie conversion, just so I can get more veggies. I'm told not to go straight to the green as it tastes foul :-)

I can't wait for the cruise. I've wanted to go on one for so many years and I'm crazy excited!!

Not much of a green smoothie person myself. Fruit ones are pretty good though. We've been trying to get off the potatoes and onto more green beans and broccoli and stuff like that. We aren't there yet, but I think we're doing better.

Coconut water! I just tried that in tonight's drink (I make them the night before) and it makes the drink much smoother. Tonight I made kale, broccolini, celery and orange with I teaspoon of chia seeds (I ran out of ginger).

Oh, I'm so excited for you (and you know, a little jealous! which is a good thing ;-) My mother and sister-in-law just did the mother/daughter cruise and had a wonderful time. I know you will, too! Post an update when you get back at least, hee hee so we can live vicariously...

That's what we're doing - the mother/daughter thing. We have a good time together so I think we'll have an awesome time. I will definitely post a report when we get back. I'll be dying to tell people all about it!!!!

I don't know how anyone could think a cruise is boring. It sounds like fun :D Lots of luck to you with getting healthy, and enjoy your cruise when you go :D

Thanks! Hubby marches to the beat of a different drummer sometimes. I honestly think he'd enjoy himself. He can't sit still long and I don't think he realizes how much there is to do while you are on the ship. I think he's imagining sitting around waiting to dock somewhere. We'll "enlighten" him when we get back (LOL).
