Why so many rapes are unreported/unprosecuted/unconvicted

I came across a link to this post about the social influences on women and men's behaviour and why it leads to tacit acceptance of rape even among people who would vehemently deny such acceptance. It's a fantastically well observed and well written post and deserves wider publication.

That was brilliant. I have saved it for future reference.

I have also taken her list of 'it is not okay' statements, and taken out all the 'not's. I will stick this up on my noticeboard when I get round to putting it up on my wall.
