What is even more hilarious is that I would not for a second believe that Australia doesnt already have nuclear weapons. Possibly not under our direct control, but anyone who thinks that the US wouldnt use its very close diplomatic ties and military treaties to have at long range tactical nukes here is an idiot.

I know if i had a very close ally who was located 10000kms closer to many of the nations i would consider an enemy i certainly would dump half a dozen of my most powerful weapon here so that they could be surprise launched if necessary.

Oh i have no doubt that there would be some on the american bases, possibly even under our control. But we dont have the ability to enrich uranium...yet anyway. And certainly no program to actually build them.
