"Robin, someone's at the--"

"I know. I'll get it," Robin quickly replied, already heading for the large double doors that held entry (and exit) to the Titans Tower.

As soon as he opened the door, he looked somewhat surprised to see a boy that seemed not much older than himself standing there. As far as he knew, he'd never seen him before, and he looked a little lost...

"Can I.. help you?"

He stared at the boy for a long moment, his mind reeling for a context to the familiar face.

"Yes... you.. you..." He tilted his head to the side. "Robin? That's your name." It wasn't a question.

Robin stared right back, an eyebrow slowly raising in growing curiosity.

His shoulders slumped and he looked away.

"God, I hope so... dunno where else to go. Is there anywhere else?" He asked cryptically, his tone full of wonder and something akin to fear... "Anywhere other than here? Than you?" He realized what a strange thing that must be to say and flushed, staring at his shoes. "Ah... sorry..."

He was suddenly nervous.

"I guess it can't be avoided... you can't just hide me in your room or something?" Half joking, half hopeful.

Still smirking faintly, Robin shook his head. "Probably not. I don't think you'd stay hidden for very long."

"They'll like you," he reassured, before beckoning him to follow him into the living room.
