Ahem... speaking as someone who is getting married at 35 I can tell you that at 26... erm... nope, not even *close* to ready. Hope you are not freaking out over not taking that step.
having to leave behind all of the things I get at home (I'm so spoiled I guess this is what bothers me the most).
Nosy question but this made me wonder if you have your own place or live with family. It might be good to be on your own for a bit before getting married. Again, just my nosy self here.
well, you know how it is here... my parents are the type that say:
"you can't leave 'till you get married or over 40" (hee hee)
also, I've been out of school just a bit over a year and still have to find a steady job (been thru 4 already in the past 7 months)
yea, I know it's just a bunch of excuses... and well, we aren't thinking seriously on marrige, he want's us to move in together, and I don't think I'm ready for a big blow out with my parents over that.
Oh yeah, I know the weirdness of moving out if you are a woman in Mexico. Everyone kept saying "What's wrong? Are not getting along with your parents?" when it had nothing to do with that. Also my parents were not that happy about me leaving, but by then I was 32 so it was a lot easier than it would have been if I had been 25.
You might find this funny, but I have this idea that if you are not ready for marriage you are not really ready for living together - just a feeling . . .
