And let me add that I have been kicking myself in the butt ever since I found out they have only dropped by 80 in a whole week because I should have asked for this sooner! I shouldn't still be waiting for my body to pass something after almost 2.5 wks ( Read more... )

Don't kick yourself, you couldn't have known how all of this was going to turn out. I hope this is over for you soon.

I had a feeling though.
And unfortunately I also have a feeling that this is not going to be the only fertility struggle we go through.

I am a negative person, I know it's not good but I am, it's me.

Oh how I wish I had a crystal ball.

Well, I meant about the way your body is handling this process, but I can understand feeling negative and unsure about things going forward. You've been through a lot, you've seen the "dark side" of fertility now. I hope you never have to go through this again.

it is totally natural for you to want to do things without a lot of intervention. Hang in there

I understand wanting to pass this naturally and the frustration when your body just won't seem to pass it. I really hope you can get the Cytotec soon and it works for you. Have they done an ultrasound recently? That way you could know for sure that you have or have not passed the baby yet. Have you had any contractions or anything like that?

I know you do, Julia and I am not glad for you to have gone through this but sure glad I have you and the other gals to "listen" to me.

No u/s since the one where we found out.
No contractions at all so far, only some mild cramping here and there.

I could be wrong, I really could be because I am not a medical professional, but I have looked long and hard at everything that has come out of me (which has only been the one plug looking thing and 2 good size clots + a few other smaller clots), and I have not seen anything that resembles a baby (unless it was inside that plug looking thing). Not even any of the "grayish tissue" I have seen described. But my m/w says the baby was so small, yadda yadda...

The baby is super small. I know I may have missed it if it had not been for DH. When I passed the baby it was in a sack looking thing that was red/bloody but DH kind of pulled it apart I think and found the baby inside. I found out later that what I saw was the sack and the baby is inside that. I had some bad cramps right before I passed the baby but no contractions that time. (All my contractions actually produced nothing which was very upsetting.) I guess it is possible you missed it but really you can't know for sure without an ultrasound I guess. Is the nurse and midwife just saying they think you have because it has been a long time?

Hmmm. Well to be to what to some people will be gross, (TMI alert for those of you who haven't been through this)! I still have the pieces that have come out and they are in the fridge. I have been convinced that my baby hasn't come out yet so I keep saving them so we can bury it all together ( ... )
