I was sitting in the hospital waiting room reading a book and--um--waiting, I guess, when I overhear this conversation near me. This is between a girl about 27 with a semi-goth/emo look and a guy in his mid-40's. This is almost an exact transcript of the conversation. The reason I am so certain, is that I could not forget a conversation like this

Even though I laughed hysterically when I read this, I felt some guilt after I posted it. Why? Because I started thinking about, why exactly, drawing with ball point pens isn't "valuable" art? Because white men have decided that it isn't art.
