L*******'s Quittin' Letter

R***,

I hope you read this with understanding and no hard feelings.

First, I do appreciate the opportunity for the Tech Position, however, I dont feel I will be happy doing that job.

This brings me to my next situation.

I thank you for the opportunity to work here, however, I am giving my notice to you today.  I know the professional way is to give two weeks but I have my reasons as to why today needs to be my last day.
I am very overwhelmed and have been for the last few months and I know that now you are deciding to bring a tech in and that my load at the front would lesson, but at this point I dont feel I am happy working in the oil and gas industry, I dont believe this job is for me. Alot of stuff is very hard for me to absorb and it is different than I thought it would be and it has been quite demanding and a lot of pressure on me. I know you are appreciate of my work and I have always given 100% and worked very hard. But still I need to find something else.

I have been coming to work the last 3 days with tremendous anxiety and that is the reason why I cannot continue to work with a two week notice.  I have enjoyed working with everyone here.

I really dont want to discuss anything on the phone, it is what it is  . . . just to let it be and move on.  I would suggest for the future that you hire a front and a tech at the same time and not put any tech work on the front person, it is quite a lot to do.  This is just my opinion I dont know if you agree or not.

I am not trying to leave anything hanging and have finished production and nothing for regulatory is due right now. Everything is very simply on my computer in my desk file or on my desk and I have saved all my emails always.  Also, I have left the key and park pass in the desk drawer.  Now that the office is more set up it should be easy for a front person to just come in and take over.

Again, hope you understand.

Isn't that a hideous signature? Anyways, I'm back at Foundation Energy and bored shitless yet again. So I did some snooping and found Lauretta's quittin' letter. The cycnical part of me thinks she got into drugs. Or she just got bored with this job. And who could blame her.
