I should spend more time here. Some of you I only see on LJ, and I know there are people who read my LJ who don't read me on facebook (or who are on facebook irregularly enough that everything scrolls). I really should spend more time here

This is great news about praying the Liturgy of the Hours, especially since others have joined you and your friend! I've been at it off and on since about 1978. I always feel better when I get on track and have a time set aside for the Hours.

I had been wondering where you were. I hope you are in good health and things are going well with your teaching.

Ahh, your e-mail tonight reminded me that I suck at getting questions to you. I'm so sorry! It slipped off my radar and I'm so sleep-deprived lately that what I'd come up with probably wouldn't be very good :(

Congratulations on the praying! That's really awesome :D I'm the same about how I'll do things with others that I won't do on my own... it's why I've not been able to keep up praying the hours myself often; well, that and my book ran out! (It was for autumn and wintertime, and basically only through Advent). The most I can get through usually is one before bed out of the Night Offices, and even that's been pretty hit or miss, considering that these days I kind of stumble and fall into bed and my nighttime routine has evaporated entirely. Annnyway, all of that is to say that that's a huge accomplishment and very cool! I think the regularity and rhythm of it really appeals to me, too, and I'm so glad you've found some other friends to pray with. I bet that makes a huge difference.
