can i just say that i find this scenario extremely ridiculous:

everyone wants roberto luongo on their. and they will spend millions of dollars on him to do so. in his career, he has one two playoff series.

everyone jumps off the ozzie bandwagon and says he's a bad goalie. in his career, he has three stanley cups.

HA... that's kind of funny. Actually, it's really funny. All anyone hears about is Luongo, but really, there are tons of good goalies out there, Ozzie included. I mean, really, as much as it pains me to say it, Hiller is a pretty darn good goalie. And I had never heard his name until the playoffs. XD

And also, did you hear that NBC guy ask Ozzie about how people say he's not good enough?! I thought that was so rude! Although Ozzie's answer was like a punch in the face, since he brought up that he's won that many cups, so apparently what people are saying and what's reality are two totally different things. XD

Although, my dad is totally jumping ON the Ozzie bandwagon right now, and it's kind of annoying. Two weeks ago, my dad was all "We won't win the cup 'cause Osgood isn't that good of a goalie" and now my dad's all "OSGOOD ROCKS! I SAY WE TAKE THE SERIES IN 4!!!!" Whatever, at least Ozzie has proven to my dad that he's a good goalie. :)

Right now the reason why anyone would remotely say something like that is comparing their regular season performances. And before playoffs you need to get past the regular season. I mean, I was even nervous about Ozzie before playoffs, just because he was looking shaky, but he completely proved me wrong (and I'm so happy he did).

But I completely agree with you. Ozzie knows when to step up, and he is so good at doing it.

I still think experience is more important than anything else. I think the 3 Stanley Cups say it all.

This entire regular season, my coworker had been bashing Ozzie and saying that he'd never make it through the first round of the playoffs, and how Luongo would take him down, etc. I told him he'd be sorry when playoff time comes, and I was right. =)

Honestly, I think Luongo is totally overrated.
