I promised a real update and here it is. ^__^
My oldest sister and her fiance have broken up. He now has a boyfriend. (I think I met him, but I'm not sure)
This news kind of shocked my other sister, because she had no idea Eerko (fiance's name) is bi. I did know this because we had a conversation about it a while ago, and my mom, my cousin and I were there too. However, I had promised not to tell anyone, because my sister wasn't comfortable with him being bi.
The break up was both their faults, my oldest sis admitted that, and though she is hurt, she will get over it (her words). Also, they are still living together, because they have a house together and financial commitments together.
My mom warned us (well, more my sister and brother) to keep behaving normal towards Eerko. That's because my sister has the tendency to blame people and will want to blame someone and my brother is just very protective towards my sister.
But really, we know both are at fault, and we will keep on behaving normal, there's no reason not to. And anyway, it's not really my business. It's their relationship and it just stranded. And if they can keep on being friends, why should we behave different. I mean they've been together for like 5 years and Eerko has turned into an older brother. That doesn't change.
Now, the news about some other relatives...
My uncle from mother side almost drunk himself to death and now has
Korsakoff . The man was clearly an alcoholic since my aunt went to Ireland for work, about half a year ago, and maybe even before that, but I don't know that.
I'm mostly feel sorry for my aunt, because she has to clean up after the mess he caused. They were (are) in the process of moving to Ireland and my aunt already has work there. So she couldn't handle selling the house and packing and moving, because she already had to work and she thought he would take care of it. As he had promised. But he didn't do what he had promised, couldn't handle life without her and when she would come back to finish the little details etc. he realised she would figure out he had lied to her and drunk himself to death.
And it really was close. If she had come back an hour later he would have been dead.
Everyone from the family had told my aunt that he was lying to her about the house, but she didn't want to believe them, and there wasn't much anyone could do.
Now my uncle is hospitalized and my aunt is cleaning up after his mess. But it is clear that he can't look after himself and needs to go to a special house where they can look after him and take care of him.
I'm not really surprised he got Korsakoff, when I'm told that he had a weekly liquer bill of € 800,-. And that wasn't just one week. It does make me wonder why the store wouldn't raise any alarm. If someone is buying that much for more then one week... that's a bit strange.
And more news on the relatives front.
My mom's stomach stopped working. She went to the docter and to the hospital and they are checking what she has. They took tissue from her stomach wall and are checking that. They told her that she has to prepare for the fact that it may be cancer. We're still awaiting a definite answer from the hospital. I just hope she'll be ok.
Holiday news.
I'll be spending part of this years chrismas holiday at my boyfriends place (his parents place). I'll be spending christmas with him at his parents place and go to my parents for New years eve. It will be the first ever christmas I'm not spending with my family, so I'm not sure how that will go... probably ok.
And other news, I have a new phone, a really nice one. It's a
Samsung G600 (link is in dutch, but has a picture). It has a nice camera function, which is good, since I currently don't have money to buy a digital camera. I also bought new shoes today.
Also we celebrated
Sinterklaas with the house, and I made a 'house' as surprise with a book inside. It was made of cloth and stuffed, like a toy. It was nice and cuddly and soft. I made it for my only female housemate. I got a 'vibrator' surprise from one of my housemates (male) with lots and lots of chocolate. Oh, and it really vibrated, was made of a bottle and was hilarious.
My surprise for my housemate
The surprise I got (with it's creator)
I'll be going to my bf parent's house this weekend, for his fathers birthday party. That's also the reason why I needed new shoes. (or at least the excuse for buying them).
My mom is coming next tuesday and goes with my to buy the wine for my christmas diner with my house, which will be held that evening. That will prove to be fun... buying whine early in the morning. (in the afternoon I have a practical).
