sorry to whine

I'm finding it harder and harder to be positive lately, with so much crap going on. I've been feeling the urge to go on vacation. I feel like I need an escape, but I'm also afraid that I'll be even more bummed out when it's over. Lots of little things are getting me down. List of shitty facts:
The Economy Sucks.
Job Markets Suck.
Buying a house is still hard.
You can't live near everyone awesome.
Music is sometimes unfulfilling.

But look on the bright side!
I just saved a bunch of money on my ca..
I mean,
You have a good job.
You're getting valuable experience. Nobody can call you a noob anymore.
Star Trek 11 is coming out in like 2.5 months.
You wrote more music and learned more about it.
You have more confidence in your musical abilities (right? It wasn't just sadly temporary?)
President Bush is retired.
President Bush's cabinet is retired.
President Obama gets to appoint new Supreme Court Justices.
President Obama is closing Guantanamo Bay.
You have an awesome Jeep and friends to lend it to. I mean, offroad with.
You're alive.

See? The Bright-Side list is much longer than that other list. Now you HAVE to feel better. Because the laws of physics.

Agreed, with a hearty second to the new Star Trek movie. Saw the preview during the Super Bowl and holy shit sirs, that thing is already badass x2.

There's a lot of angst it seems at this age about getting a house, but I often wonder why. Cuz it's next? Then what? You can do the stuff that's interesting (and sets you apart as a person) from a studio loft or a McMansion.
