This post is great because it makes me feel Not Alone in terms of fucking around with my own writing and how many universes I have floating around in my head. I think you have more individual 'verses than I do. xD
I went back to working on "A New Day" book 1 because Jazz has been fucking loud as shit and taken over my brain and wanted me to start over. Okay, dude. I get it. Book 1 is YOUR book. Gotcha. Book 2 is your & Savin's book. Book 3 Savin's. Got it.
Reworking the original beginning of it/rewriting the parts where things change has been a nice change of pace compared to sitting there and glaring at Book 3. I mean, I kept writing fucking little snippets of reminiscing that involved shit that was going to change/happen in book 1. I couldn't stand it. There was no plot to it. And Mitchel's character development/changes/motivations.... I have to go back and redo shit, anyway.

This is what happens when you let Jazz hang out with Devin, dude. xD
