I listened to the original audio and he says if the killings took place as "they claim". He never uses the word "myth". Whoever translated this speech for the news agencies needs to get fired.

I remember reading something similar to that translation ("as they claim") from his other talk last week, but I'm guessing that you're referring to his comments from just a few hours ago. CNN and Al Jazeera (english) both carried the same "myth" translation today, but Al Jazeera only mentions "myth" at the title and the opening paragraph. How it became myth, well, i don't know. -_-
Nothing personal against him or the Iranian people. I think that he really has courage to face the western governments with his views. Makes for interesting reading.
