I would be so totally supportive if someone close to me wanted to do that. I think that if you truly would rather be a girl than you should look more into it and make you that it is right for you. If everything seems good then go for it! No point of being unhappy with a lesser version of yourself if that is how you feel. Only you can make yourself happy, baby. * Snuggles. * I love you very much, snuggles!

I know two girls similar to what you are describing; one who feels more comfortable dressing in male clothing and having male characteristics, and another who would much rather have been born male, and actually has people refer to her as "him" and "he" and whatnot.

If someone close to me decided on gender re-assignment, say like the two girls, it would not be much of a surprise or make a huge difference even, since they are more masculine than feminine. If someone just out of the blue went under surgery to become the opposite sex, then it would take a bit of getting used to, but I'd be okay with it.

I think that if you feel like you should have been born female, or simply feel more female, try dressing as one for a while and basically try and live as a female would, then if that works for you, look into surgery. But mind you, you must think about all the conditions that come with being a female, and also all the things that doctors would NOT be able to add in (i.e; uterus and having a period)

I know that no amount of surgery can give me the uterus or period, but I like your idea of living as a woman before I make a final decision. I don't want to do anything suddenly (nor can I afford to at the moment) Its just that I have heard that it takes alot of support from others to make the transition if one decides on re-assignment.
