I feel like I've been treading water for the past 7 years, & I'm tired of it. There's so much I want to do, that I'm worried I'll never get a chance to do
( Read more... )
It sounds like you need to go out more! (that sounds mean, didn't mean it that way)
Go out every weekend for a picnic at a nature park. Go for a long walk in the hot sun, get a tan or a sunburn, sit down and eat while the tree blows shit all over you and ants come to the party... that sort of stuff. :) You can do all of the things you want to do, you just might have to do them from the safety of your backyard, so you can come inside at night, instead of going out to camp forever.
If there was a park or somewhere nearby that I could do that at, I so would. There's a place across the tracks, but the last time I went there, there was some huge animal splashing around (sounded like a big dog) in the water, & it freaked me out :P
(That's not meant to sound rude or bitchy. I'm going for encouraging.)
You can't tell me there's *nowhere* in your area to go and have a picnic. You're constantly saying that there's nothing to do in your town, which means there's got to be empty space somewhere! Pull off on the side of the road and tramp through the woods for a while, I'm sure you'll find some place.
If you want to include Rob in this, make a regular date on his days off to go out somewhere and find something to do. If you don't, start driving him to work and keeping the van during the day, so you can do it yourself. (Unless his job requires him to use the van during the day. I guess in that case you'll have to take it on his days off and hope he doesn't burn the house down while you're gone.)
Grab life by the balls and live it. The ocean and the whales and the fireflies and the stars and the bugs and the city and the clovers and the waterfalls and the landscapes and the lights and the more won't come to you, you've gotta go to them.
Well... van! It sounds to me like Rob could really use a little increase in his fun levels, too. Pack up a picnic and go out together, just the two of you.
I've known you for more than a year now, and I know you are a FUCKING STUBBORN CUNT. There is NOTHING that you can't do, lady. If you want it, you CAN make it happen. You just gotta try it. ;D
