I never seem to see you online. If you see me on IM's, feel free to message me.

I'm all about using the right tools for the job. Twitter works great for random thoughts and con meetups. LJ is much better for longer term records and well, journalling. I still prefer IM's for keeping up with folks, though sometimes SMS helps there too (I prefer IM's though).

where you moving to? jugularjaguar February 2 2011, 18:39:51 UTC
I enjoy those times when we can get together and just talk. Normally it is a room party or a chance to leave the con and go out for a bite to eat. Sadly I find those occasions are hard to set up as everyone has a different schedule or they have just eaten or some other problem. If anything that makes me less wanting to return to that con. I keep to the cons where I have found the most success of getting people together and having a good time on our own.

Yeah taking out time with others makes a con that much better.

Scruff and I ran into that problem a few times, though we still managed to have food with at least one friend every day. As for where I'm moving, I really don't know yet. For sure somewhere in California. I can't see myself leaving this state.

I'm MUCH better at conversing in person than online, so I don't think that's out of the question. I actually joke with my friends about it because I can rarely keep an IM or text conversation going past a few replies. It's a combination of multi-tasking and other things. In person, folks have my undevided attention, but with IM and text, it's rare I'm able to focus at the conversation. Even if I can, I bore quickly of just typing words on a screen. As for Twitter, I tell people flat out that I see maybe 10% of the Tweets out there, and if there is something they want me to know specifically, give me a call. ;)

I, too, used to be a total chat slut. Now I rarely turn it on, and when I do I usually end up getting pounced by a few people only interested in sex. *sighs* I try to steer them away from it because, quite frankly, real sex is so much better than RP. It's so boring. So I just rely on LJ to keep up with friends.

Yeah, LJ seems to be the place for getting a full update. So few of the people on my list actually post anymore! (You being one who does, of course.) I think I may slowly get away from messengers and turn to email or some other form of 'not-always-online' type of thing.

Pounced for sex? I remember those days. I think I was extra mean to them cuz I don't get those much anymore.

Part of the problem is the community is less focused on a few social resources, and now there are too many streams to follow.

It was nice seein you at the con and elsewhere *snugs*

It was great seeing you too! Hopefully we can all get together again soon! :) *hug-licks*

I agree on there being too many to follow. I do not plan on giving up LJ. Even if all the furs are gone eventually, I still like LJ for blogging my thoughts and ideas from time to time!

I still like LJ. I did an LJ post on the "twitter problem" recently... http://spottacus.livejournal.com/20998.html
