This Saturday, August 6th, 2005.Fire burning in a hill
The lines are rocky rough
Red angles wait to pick remains
The cindered shoulder
Of confused men
Seperate from their awe
With grey desire
She looks out mad
Her soft grey indigo eyes
Indigo eyes ...

Thank you, oh high and powerful Drink Mistress! :)
Heh. That's one compatibility I perhaps did not call out in as strong of terms as I should have -- deliriumdreams can nearly match me drink for drink, one more reason to love her. :)
You'll probably see it on your normal friends' page, but in case you miss it, I wrote up a FAQ on our engagement...
Stop looking at me like that.
Anyway: http://www.livejournal.com/users/tkil/43477.html
If you happen to be heading out here to California for Turkey Day Weekend, please stop by; we'd love to meet you in person. For that matter, it's looking like we might do the Central Coast with a day or two in San Francisco for Christmas / New Years -- if you're out for the holidays, let us know!
Good luck with the boy, and take care! :)

Aww, thanks sweetie! *hugs you back*
You realize this just makes it more important that you manage to meet her soon, yes? :)
Anyway, I wrote up a FAQ (sigh) on our engagement and plans so far; it'll probably show up in your friends' page, but if you want instant gratification (smirk): http://www.livejournal.com/users/tkil/43477.html
As I've told others, I won't turn anyone away from the party this November, but I probably won't be able to offer much help on places to stay or transportation. The big celebration will be a different story, though.
Also also wik! If you have any plans to make it home for the winter holidays, deliriumdreams and I are hoping to be up in the Central Coast (visiting the couple which includes jinglechelle, your clone with the British accent!) If you're in the neighborhood, it'd be wonderful to get together. :)
*hugs* Thanks again, gorgeous.

Heh. Thanks!
Thought you'd be amused to know that I did the actual proposal (such as it was, but hey, it had the magic phrase "will you marry me" in it somewhere) at the San Diego Renaissance Faire. And I didn't have a proper ring, so she got an engagement leather collar. Ahem.
Anyway! If you have idle curiosity, or are just bored, feel free to peruse the FAQ I wrote up... talks a bit more about the past that deliriumdreams and I share, and what our plans are for the next bit: http://www.livejournal.com/users/tkil/43477.html

Thanks very much!
Means even more that you took the time to post even in the middle of your August horribilis... Very much appreciated!
I finally got around to writing up more info on what's going on: http://www.livejournal.com/users/tkil/43477.html
My San Diego LJ buddies are welcome to crash the party that Saturday after the JP ceremony -- if enough of the LJ people are interested, I might try to do a smaller LJ "meet and greet" sometime earlier. But if you just show up for the party, that's totally cool too. :)
(For that matter, I strongly suspect that the few of us that are doing the JP ceremony will retire to The Field for most of the afternoon of Wednesday, Nov 23rd -- and we'd be delighted if others joined us there. :)

Heh. Yeah, I'm at least as amazed as anyone else about this whole thing -- that I asked, that she said yes, that we're still even in contact some 13 years after we were introduced.
But I think what matters there is that she said "yes".
And it most likely means that I'll be moving to Albuquerque either next year or 2007 at the latest... so lots more hanging out with the gang in LC. And crash space for the LC gang up in Abq, for that matter. :)
I finally finished up a little FAQ that's been bouncing in my head (and on my account) for a while; gives a bit more background on our history and our immediate plans: http://www.livejournal.com/users/tkil/43477.html
The San Diego party is open to all, but I probably won't be able to help out with crash space. The big party next year (or 2007 :) will hopefully be in a place that lets me drag in as many people as want to show up, for a couple of days of partying. We'll see.
