He hurriedly went up the stairs, skipping every alternate step. Slowing down his pace as he walked though the corridor to his apartment, Ueda saw a huge, brown cardboard box outside his front door. He jogged towards it, curious of it's contents. But before knowing what's inside, it's best that he get into the house first before he freezes to death.
His world suddenly became warmer. He was sweating profusely, what is even in this box?! He's tried lifting it off the ground a few times but it was too heavy, even for him. So he dragged the box into his genkan and shut the door. He noticed a little red and green envelope half caught under the box, at the corner of his eye, while taking off his coat and beanie. He forcefully pulled it out from under the box.
He opened the envelope and read the letter enclosed inside.
